Fauchon Paris, synonymous with French contemporary luxury food, is a reference for lovers of gourmet food all over the world. The story of the brand is the story of a constant search for excellence and a taste for the rare and the unique.
Arriving in Paris from rural Calvados in 1880, Auguste Fauchon set up shop at his food cart at Place de la Madeleine, offering fruits and vegetables from the best orchards and farms in France. In 1886, he opened his first store in the same location, allowing Auguste to offer a wider range of the best French produce, including a cellar of the finest wines and champagnes. The Madeleine store soon became a reference among Parisians, gaining fame not only as a showcase for French gastronomy but as a window for exotic foodstuffs from around the world.
Over the years Auguste's successors have carefully nurtured the values of the Fauchon brand, keeping pace with new tastes and trends, unearthing the unexpected and always delighting the taste buds of Fauchon's loyal customers. Now under the guidance of the Ducros family, the brand is distributed in 36 countries and over 400 retail outlets - to the delight of lovers of fine food worldwide.
